REPORT ON COMMUNITY SERVICE (MBC) AT FOOTSTEPS INT’L SCHOOL, ABUJA.

Footsteps international school Abuja (FIS Abuja) is committed to fostering a sense of civic responsibility and community engagement amongst her learners. The school’s Community Service Program, Mission Better Community (MBC) plays a vital role in achieving goals, encouraging students and staff members to contribute to the well-being of their environment while developing important life skills.
Over the past months, FIS Abuja students and teachers have participated in a range of community service activities including:
Picking of dirt, Clearing the gutter, Planting of trees just to name a few.
These activities on the 23rd of Febuary, 2024 have had a significant impact on the students, members of staff and the host community at large. Students have developed important skills such as teamwork, leadership skills, problem-solving skills, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the needs of others. The community has benefited from the efforts of both the students and the teachers.
Looking ahead, Footsteps International School Abuja, is committed to further expanding its community outreaches. The school plan to explore new partnerships and initiatives that will allow students to continue making positive impacts on the community.
The community service program (Mission Better Community) at FIS Abuja has been a resounding success, benefiting both the school community and the host community.
